Withdrawal and Transfer Name Policy
Updated: 30th July 2024
If you have a place in the Studland Stampede but are now unable to run due to: ill-health, work commitments, injury or health concerns, etc, these are the options available:
(The Studland Stampede is operated as a non-refundable event. This is due to the costs incurred from the moment we commit to organising and planning the event. We are therefore unable to offer any cash refunds, but it may be possible to transfer your entry to another runner or defer your place to the following year’s event.)
Transfers
Transferring your place to another runner: If you wish to give your Stampede place to a friend, you can do this from the 'Manage My Entry' link on your entry confirmation email. If you can't find this, drop us an email and we can resend it to you. From here, you need to add the contact name and email of the person you wish to offer your place to. Our system will then send them an entry form to complete.
Any transfers MUST be received before the 30th September.
We will NOT be able to make changes on race day.
Running under someone else’s number can course considerable confusion and could be dangerous should an emergency situation arise on race day. Therefore it is imperative that runners act responsibly and do not take the position of another runner without notifying us of the change. Running under another runner’s number may also cause issues when determining who has won age category prizes – therefore if you are found to be running under someone else’s number you will not be entitled to any prize and may be removed from the race results.
Deferring
If you wish to defer your entry to the following years event, this can also be done via your 'Manage My Entry' link on your confirmation email. The DEADLINE for deferring your entry is the 1st August.
When the following years event date has been confirmed, you will be emailed a link to a new entry form to complete. If you do not take up your place the following year, you will not be able to carry it over again. Please note - by deferring your place you agree that should, for any reason, the following years event not go ahead, your place may be lost without recompense.
Offering up your place to a runner on the waiting list
If the event is full we will endeavour to offer a waiting list function. If you are not able to run and would like to offer your place to someone on the waiting list, and defer your place to the following year, then this will only be possible if there are still people on the waiting list and before the 30th September deadline. After this date all data will be sent to the chip timing company and changes will no longer be made. Please email Victoria if you would like to defer your place to the following year and offer this years place to someone on the waiting list. Requests will be dealt with on a first-come first-served basis.
